BerkoFest announce 2017 headliners

BERKOFEST, the boutique family-friendly music festival in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire returns for a fifth year this September with an impressive line up. Set in the natural amphitheatre of the Chilterns, the event has become synonymous with showcasing established and emerging talent across three music stages. Festivalgoers will also be treated to the best of local food and drink, and plenty of entertainment for the kids and those who are young at heart.

Broadcaster and stream-of-consciousness comedian Robin Ince is back by popular demand as the host of BerkoFest. He is one half of BBC Radio 4 Show ‘The Infinite Monkey Cage’ with Professor Brian Cox and is a regular contributor on Steve Lamacq’s BBC 6Music show.

Dan Gillespie Sells is one of Britain’s finest singer-songwriters and will be treating us to a solo acoustic set. Dan came to prominence as the frontman of rock band The Feeling, and will be performing songs from their superb back catalogue. These include the top hits ‘Fill My Little World’, ‘Never Be Lonely’ and ‘Set My World On Fire’.

London based Alabama 3, who achieved international fame by penning the theme tune to the hit TV show The Sopranos and who were deemed “the best live band in the UK” by The Guardian, are geared up to perform an unforgettable acoustic set.

Having first made his mark on the UK Britpop scene with renowned quartet The La’s, talented singer John Power left the group to form Cast, a band whose live show was described by Noel Gallagher as a “religious experience”.  John will be performing acoustic tracks from Cast’s iconic back catalogue.

Other treats in store include Grace Petrie, a folk singer-songwriter and guitarist who has been hailed as “a powerful new songwriting voice” by The Guardian. BerkoFest’s favourite singer-songwriter Shane Lamont is also here to entertain, along with exciting emerging talent performing in The Swan Youth Centre, Vee Music stage and Bullens Music stage.
